Disneyland has been a proposed venue to complete the NBA 2019/2020 season but a date to restart has been a deliberation.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver has targeted July 31 as a return date for the NBA.
Suspended since March, Silver is considering 4 possible plans to conclude the season.

Former NBA great Shaquille O’Neal has previously said the season should be cancelled with Micheal Jordan also echoing there will be no need play meaningless games during this pandemic period.

The NBA board of governors are expected to vote unanimously and approve Silver’s recommendation.

The recommendations are;

1) Go straight to the playoffs with the 16 teams that are currently at the top of each conference

2) Allow the top 20 teams to
compete in group/stage play.

3) Have 22 teams continue the season and have a play-in tournament to determine final seeding

4) Bring all 30 teams back and have a 72-game season with play-in tourney.

Next week Thursday, the NBA will know it’s fate when the board of governors vote.
