The Technical adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Edith Olumide Agoye, has advised Nigerian National league body to ensure the conclusion of the 2019/20 Season.

Agoye, whose team is on the verge of staging a return back to the elite league, the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after failing twice via promotional playoff, believes that concluding the season will produce a true champion as well as maintaining the integrity of the league.

The former Flying Eagles and U-23 gangling striker, wants the league to be concluded or the organiser should stamp the promotion of his team and other clubs who are leading their group, into the NPFL.

In a chat with a popular WhatsApp platform in Nigeria, Family United By Football, the ex Shooting Stars striker said, “Its more important for the organiser of the league to find every available opportunity to make sure that the league is completed, for the sake of the integrity of the competition.

“If at end of the day, may be due to the fact that we could not find a situation whereby the league can not continue, the best thing to do is to declare Shooting Stars and other eams topoing the other grouo as winners and pronunce their promotion”, he said.

Agoye, who started his professional football career with Shooting Stars when he was a student of University of Ibadan, before he travelled outside the shores of the country to continue his robust career in Switzerland with FC Schaffhausen, is of the opinion that teams needed to be promoted and relegated in other maintain the integrity of the league.

“Definitely, teams have to be relegated and teams have to gain promotion in other to maintain the integrity of the league. We can just discard the efforts of clubs for a whole season”, stated the former Gateway FC of Abeokuta and Prime of Osogbo tactician.
