The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde has directed all viewing centres across the the state to remain shut.

This statement was signed by the Honourable Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Honourable Seun Fakorede on Thursday in view of the return of European Leagues with specific reference to Laliga matches which remainder of the 11 league matches comes up from June 12th to 14th June and run through July 29th with 43 days football show

Fakorede in a statement said “In line with the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force directives, all viewing centres in the State should remain shutdown and desist from opening up centres to viewers especially as the football season is opening up gradually”

“This is in keeping with the health guidelines and State Government directives as the COVID-19 pandemic is still ravaging the State and the country.
Any defaulters to this Government directives would stand the chance of having his center shutdown and payment of appropriate fines to the State Government”

The 28 years commissioner Asiwaju Seun Fakorede started that the decision by the state government is part of measures to curtail the possible spread of the pandemic in the pace setters state and the nation at large stating that the league matches would also be played behind closed doors without fans at the stands
