Bayern Munich are Bundesliga champions for the 8th successive season. The Bavarians were just three points away from clinching another Bundesliga title going to today’s encounter with Werder Bremen.

Needing a win to clinch another title, Bayern won 1 nil away at Werder Bremen to secure their 30th league title. Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal in the 43rd minutes of the game. Bayern will finish the game with 10 men after Alphonso Davies was sent off for his second booking of the night in the 79th. That wouldn’t stop Bayern from holding on to their slim lead, they leapt for joy at the end of the game.

It’s an overwhelming victory for Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick who replaced Niko Kovac in November 2019 with Bayern in 4th place and 4 points behind Borussia Monchengladbach after 10 games. Flick has turned the season around by winning the league, qualified for the final of the German Cup with one leg in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League after a three nil first leg win away at Chelsea.

With 26 wins from 29 games in all competitions, Flick has the best win ratio of any Bayern coach in history.

Congratulations Bayern Munich!!!
