France based Nigerian sports journalist Babatunde Ojora has said Moses Simon four year deal with Nantes is the best for both parties and well deserved.

The Nigeria international was signed permanently on a 4-year deal after impressing on loan at Nantes and the France based sports journalist believes the Nigerian is enjoying the best time of his career.

Speaking live on a sports show yesterday tagged “Mid-day Sports” on Pensioners 106.7FM Ibadan, Babatunde believes Simon is presently flying high at Nantes after a disappointing spell with Levante of Spain.

“What Moses did at Levante can’t be compared to what he did at Nantes this season”, Babatunde said.
“He was twice named Nantes player of the month and was also Nantes player of the season.
“He is enjoying his time in Nantes, he is having the best time of his life. He is got the freedom, he is got the confident of coach.

“The fans, the director and the board, everybody is happy with what he is doing.”

Babatunde, who is a UEFA licensed journalist also stressed that Moses could have scored more goals if the season wasn’t affected by COVID-19.

“The four-year deal is the best thing Nantes could have offered him. The loan deal from Levante had a clause stating if Moses could score 10 goals, his loan deal will be activated to a permanent deal.

“He was on 9 goals before the coronavirus pandemic disrupted the season leading to the French League being cancelled.
“If the season had been concluded, Moses could have gotten a double figure like 15 goals or more.
“The deal is the best for both parties especially for Simon who is enjoying his life at Nantes”, he concluded.

Simon Moses finished the season with 9 goals and 8 assists for Nantes in the 2019/2020 season.
