Italian Serie A side Napoli have joined the race to sign Nigerian winger Emmanuel Dennis as talks have begun between both parties.

He is set to depart Brugge this summer after three years at the club. With 28 goals and 10 assists in 103 appearances, his manager believes he is likely to leave the Jan Breydel Stadium this summer. The Belgian Jupiler champions have been steadfast over their asking price for the Nigerian international. They’ve sticked to their €22 million valuation.

Napoli may however face stiff competition due to the fact that Dennis has attracted heavy interest from around Europe this season, having found the back of the net nine times this season, including twice at the Bernabeu in the Champions League against Real Madrid.

If the deal goes through he would be the replacement for Polish international Arkadiusz Milik as Napoli are ready to sell Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal target Arkadiusz Milik for £45m.

Dennis is very much a player on the up, he provides lightning pace and has an explosive way of playing.

He is able to lead off the shoulder of the last defender and get on the end of anything in front of the goal.

Off the ball, his energy is infectious and presses his opponents relentlessly – seeing him put down as the first name on the team-sheet week in week out

Sources have told OJBSPORT that Napoli have signified strong interest in Emmanuel should Incase they miss out of landing Lille’s FC player of the year Victor Osimhen.
