Kano Pillars Goal-keeper Suraj Ayeleso says the best option to end the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season is by adopting the Point Per Game Method, since the league cannot be concluded, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Suraj in a chat with OJBSPORT said this
“I think PPG is the best option to finish the league for now, since we cannot continue the league”
Part of the ways proposed to conclude the league was the PPG method, as voted for, by seventeen clubs in the league. They also opined that the Super 6 could be another way to put an end to the season.
Lobi Stars Football Club, are not happy with proceedings. The Vice-Captain of the club, Daniel Atsaka in a recent chat with ojbsports condemned the PPG considerations, as all efforts inserted in the league this season will be proved abortive.
While many have slammed some clubs in the league for their unfair treatment of players, in terms of the inability to pay players their wages duely, Suraj Believes players welfare is absolutely okay, due to the fact that, LMC have mandated all clubs to pay players not less than 150,000, but the Kano Pillars Goal-Keeper explains worries with some clubs who still owe players wages.
“The welfare of players in the league is good, because LMC have mandated clubs to pay players minimum of 150 thousand, and all clubs have met this, but there are some clubs that are owing players salaries”
Suraj painted that, this clubs will still pay -out outstanding wages, maybe after COVID-19 Pandemic subsidies.
The quality of players in the Nigeria Professional Football League, has been one factor that pundits have always clamped down on, but Suraj stated that, there are quality players in the NPFL. Because this players always go for trial at various club.
Fingers crossed, we awaits how the league will be decided, but some clubs will affected regardless of the decision taken.
