Liverpool has finally won the Premier league title for the first time in over a decade.

Jurgen Klopp’s men where confirmed Champions yesterday following a 2 – 1 win by Chelsea to their closest tittle rivals Manchester City. Liverpool won the league with seven games remaining till the end of the season, becoming the first club to achieve such feat in the competition history. The Reds came close to winning the league last season but narrowly lost to eventual champions Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp made it clear when he took over the managerial role at the Anfield four seasons ago, that his main objective is to transform Liverpool into league winners over time, and yesterday the German tactician finally achieved the target.

56 different managers from nine different countries have won the English top-flight title but Jurgen Klopp becomes the first German coach to achieve the feat.

After their confirmation as the champions Klopp has this to say

“I have no words, It’s unbelievable. Becoming champions with this club is incredible. It’s for Kenny. It’s for Stevie.”
