Former Super Eagles goal getter Jude Odion Ighalo, could make his first start since the restart of English Football today against Norwich.

The Nigeria International has made three starts for the Red Devils, two in the Europa League and one in the FA Cup, since his January loan move from Shanghai Shenhua.

Ighalo netted twice in Manchester United’s fifth round win against Derby County at the Pride Park Stadium in March. And will be expected to pick it up from where he stopped before the start of the pandemic.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer in a pre-match conference, admitted that there would be some rotation against Norwich.

“With the long layoff we’ve had, looking after the players is one of our jobs and, as you say rotation,” Solskjaer said “We played Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday and Saturday again, the heat. There’ll be a few changes.

“If you want to be a part of a winning Man United team you have to make a couple of changes, but that’s the situation we’re in.

“We all agreed on we’re going to try and finish the season and we’re going to do our best to put performances on and make sure players are safe.”

Ighalo has been a revelation at Old Trafford since arriving from Shanghai Shenhua back in January, the Nigerian has scored four goals for the club in his last three appearances before the season was suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
