Inter Milan ran riot over bottom placed Brescia by six unreplied goals to keep up pace of the Serie A title race.
With Juventus and Lazio both winning yesterday, Inter needed a victory not to lose further grounds on the title race. They did so in an emphatic fashion at the San Siro Stadium.
Manchester United’s on-loan full back Ashley Young opened the flood gates of goals as early as the fifth minute before Alexis Sanchez also on-loan from the Red Devils scored the second from the spot. It was the Chilean second goal for Inter since he joined on loan last summer.
Danilo D’Ambrosio added the third before in the 45th minute as Inter went three nil up at halftime.
The Nerrazurri continued from where they left in second half as Roberto Gagliardini (53rd minute) Christian Eriksen (83rd minute) and Antonio Candreva (88th minute) completed the rout.
Inter are third, four points behind Lazio and eight points behind defending champion and league leaders Juventus after 29 matches.
