Liverpool are in advance talk with German champions Bayern Munich over a deal to sign midfielder Thiago Alcantra.

The Spanish International midfielder was signed by former Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola who is now in charge at Manchester City. Talks between Thiago Alcántra’s representative and the Bundesliga giants over a contract renewal for the midfield maestro has hit a stumbling block over financial terms.

With just one year left on his contract Bayern is ready to cash in on the midfielder and according to reports from @sport Liverpool had submitted a bid of around for £31.5m which will be accepted by the Allianz Arena side.

The Premier league champions Liverpool was brushed aside by rivals Manchester City on Thursday night and Jurgen Klopp will surely be looking for reinforcements for his team ahead of next season.
