Arsenal football club have reached an agreement with Gabriel Martinelli for him to remain at the club for a longer period of time as he put pen to paper for a new long-term contract.

A year ago Martinelli joined the Gunners and despite having some years left on his contract, the club has successfully increased his contract terms due to his performances that has led club’s to hover round him. He has found the back of the net 10 times in 26 appearances for the North Londoners this term since teaming up from Ituano last summer.

The Brazilian started his Arsenal career on a good note as he scored on his debut in the 2019 USA pre-season tour last summer against Colorado Rapids in the United States Of America..

He bagged his first Premier League goal in the 3-1 win over West Ham United in December and he has equalled Nicolas Anelkas record as the second to score 10 goals in a single season, since Nicolas Anelka did it 20 years ago.

The Arsenal gaffer Mikel Arteta said: “I am very happy that Gabi has signed a new contract with us. He is a very talented young player and he has impressed us with his performances, attitude and work-rate. We are looking forward to getting him back to full fitness and to watching his development at our club.”

Gabi is a very highly rated young attacker as he’s been tipped to go on and become a world best contender or winner someday.
At the moment, Martinelli is out injured and he’s hasn’t featured for the Gunners since the project restart in June 2020.

This would be a good news for the Arsenal faithfuls and they’d love to make it a complete joyful month by seeing club captaining Pierre Emmeric Aubameyang sign a new contract.
