Arsenal are interested in signing of Newcastle French star Saint Allan Maximin after his impressive performance for Steve Bruce’s side this season.

The French man only joined Newcastle United last summer from French club OGC Nice. But according to reports from Northern Echo today Arsenal are ready to test Newcastle United’s resolve to hold on to their skillful star if the Premier League blocks Newcastle Castle’s owner Mike Ashley from ongoing attempts to sell the club to Amanda Staveley’s Saudi Arabia-backed consortium.

A number of top European clubs are understood to have made contact with Saint-Maximin’s representatives, with PSG & Napoli both having been linked with the French man. Arsenal is the Premier League side that currently have the strongest interest in the 23-year-old according to the same source [Northern Echo].

Mikel Arteta wants to improve his Arsenal side this summer with addition of quality players and has identified Maximin as one of his major target.
