Former Golden Eaglets captain Kelechi Nwakali has secured promotion to the Spanish Laliga with his team Sociedad Deportiva Huesca.
Huesca defeated Numancia by three unreplied goals to seal the second spot in the Segunda division and book a place in the 2020/2021 Laliga season.
It was an immediate return to the top flight for the Azulgranas who got relegated last season in their first-ever participation in Laliga.
They amazed 33 points and got relegated having the worst away record with two wins from 19 games.
The 22-year-old was an 89th-minute substitute in the game that saw goals from former Leicester City and Premier League winner Shinji Okazaki and a brace from Rafa Mir.
It was the fourth appearance from the former Arsenal player who won the Golden Ball which is the award for the best player at the FIFA 2015 U-17 World Cup in Chile.
Kelechi joined the Aragon based club on the second of September 2019 on a three-year deal from Arsenal whom he never made a single appearance for the Gunners in his three years at the club.
Huesca joined league leaders Cadiz as the two teams that have secured automatic qualification to the Spanish first division.
