England International Eric Dier, has signed a new long term contract with Tottenham.

Dier was set to enter the final twelve months of his previous contract this summer. Due to his impressive performances under Jose Mourinho, he’s been rewarded with a new long term contract till the summer of 2024.

The English man who can play both as a defensive midfielder and as a Center back struggled for game time earlier this season under the previous manager Marucio Pochettino, but has revived his club career under Mourinho featuring consistently since his appointment as manager.

The Portuguese tactician is a huge fan of Dier as he tried to sign the English man when he was in charge of Manchester United. Negotiations over a new deal for the 26 year old has been on for the past few months and now the deal has been completed.

Dier has made a total of 239 appearances for Spurs, scoring 11 times, and has also won 40 international caps for England. He was as well part of the England squad that finished fourth at the 2018 World Cup.
