The Awards for the NBA 2019/20 season will commence from July 21 through 28, before the start of the season, and the awards will be announced during the play-offs.

Voting will start today for the NBA’s annual awards of Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth Man, Coach of the Year, All-NBA Teams, All-Defensive Teams and All-Rookie Teams.

Meanwhile eight “seeding games” will not be included in the voting, but players’ stats from those eight games will count toward their regular season totals.

“The decision to exclude seeding games from awards voting ensures a fair process in which players and coaches from all 30 NBA teams will have the same opportunity to be honored as top performers for the 2019-20 regular season,” said NBA President, League Operations Byron Spruell.

OJBSPORT recollect that, the NBA recently confirmed that the annual awards would be based only on games from the start of the season until March 11, before the season went on hiatus.

Lebron James earlier confirmed that he was oblivious of such move from the award, but reiterate his unbothered by the stand from NBA.

Lebron James has long been tipped to go all out and win the MVP for the season, but the guard have a strong competitor in, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks player. Giannis is averaging 29.6 PPG, this season, Lebron james is having splendid season averaging triple doubles.  picking one out this two could be tricky.

Houston Rockets James Harden and Russell Westbrook are both having a superb season, but unfortunately non of this duo stand a good chance of displacing, Lebron and Giannis
