NPFL side, Abia Warriors FC yesterday, unveiled Imama Amapakabo as the new head coach of the South eastern Nigerian club side.
Imama was unveiled at the Umuahia township stadium by the club’s secretary Ebere Esiaba and Sporting Director Patrick Ngwaog.
The former Rangers coach signed a two year deal with the Umuahia Warlords. Abia Warriors will be banking on the experience of the one time Nigeria Professional Football League winner to take them to greater heights.
Speaking during his unveiling, Imama called for a collective support to achieve success.
“The task of taking Abia
Warriors Football Club to the next level and the team to achieve it’s heart desires is a collective one”, he said.
The former Super Eagles assistant coach performed wonders at Enugu state
based club Rangers International when he won the league with them in the 2015/2016 season which was their first title in 34 years.
Abia Warriors was 16th on the NPFL log after matchday 25 before the league was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
