Bayern Munich officially unveil Leroy Sané to the media today as their new player to the team.
Bayern Munich sign the 24-year-old German international from Manchester city for €45 million on a 5-year-deal.
Leroy Sane said to the media “For me it was clear that if I move, I would go to a club who can win the Champions League. #FCBayern is that 100%. This team is at a top level.”
Leroy Sané will wear the number 10 shirt for FC Bayern next season. Out of respect for Philippe Coutinho, who is the current number 10 and could play in the upcoming DFB Cup final in Berlin and any games in the UEFA Champions League in August, Sané decided not to use the number in his photos on Thursday.
The CEO of Bayern Munich Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said “I think we will have a lot of fun with him. He’s the player we wanted. We gave our coach the player he wanted and we’re happy that this transfer went through.”
With the signing of Sané the balvarians are still expected to defend the Bundesliga title and go more for the UEFA Champions League next season.
