Three Nantes FC players tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus on Thursday.

Tests carried out before the proposed match against Anderlecht, revealed three positive cases for COVID-19 within the professional group.

The club only revealed a name (Marcus Coco). The team will go ahead with a small group to play the friendly game against Anderlecht in Belgium with the players who tested negative.

According to the club, the medical department will pay very close attention to the individual health developments of each player and staff in the coming weeks.

An administrative staff close to the team also tested positive. A strengthening of health measures will be applied within the club. The club works in close collaboration with the Regional Health Agency in order to set up the most suitable protocols, the club would like to thank the Agency for its responsiveness and support.

The whole club is mobilized and doing everything possible to protect its employees.
