Ahead of the final game of the English Premier League 2019/2020 season, England and Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has come out to say that Manchester United squad no what’s at stake in their game against Leicester City and they’d play to become victorious.

A point is all Red Devils need to secure an automatic UEFA champions league spot for the upcoming campaign, their opposition Leicester City need nothing less three points to topple Manchester United I’m the race for the UCL spot. United could however lose to Leicester City and still make it the top four perhaps results in other centers go their way.

The United skipper who joined from Leicester City last summer for a world record fee says his team would start the game with full force, he spoke confidently that they’d control the pressure that comes with this kind of game.

In his interview with MUTV, Harry Maguire said:
“We won’t be going to Leicester and playing for the draw, that’s for sure. We’ll go into the game wanting to win it. We want to get the three points; we’ll approach it like we approach any other game.

“Maybe if we’re drawing in the last couple of minutes, we might approach it a little bit differently but for sure we’re going to go into the game and try to get the three points.

“We’re sat third in the league and that’s where we want to be by the end of Sunday.”

Harry Maguire hasn’t missed any of Manchester United’s game in the EPL this season, playing every minute of the game. He made it known that he’d be proud to end the season as an outfield player who never missed a single minute of action.

“Touch wood I manage to play the game on Sunday and do that, he added.

“It’s something I do really take pride in, being available and looking after myself in order to play every game.

“It’s important for a top defender to play every game. I’ve done it once in my career, at Leicester in my first season where I played every minute of every game, and it’s been nice, touch wood, that I’ve stayed injury-free and not picked up any silly suspensions this season.”

If Manchester United don’t make it to the English Premier League top four tonight, they’d have another route to get to the 2020/2021 UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League is another route as they are still much involved in the competition. If they go on to the final and eventually win it, that’s an automatic spot in the UEFA Champions League for them.
