Bayer Leverkusen Sporting Director Rudi Völler has confirmed that Kai Havertz will be with them to play their remaining Europa League fixtures, despite interest coming from Chelsea.

The English Premier League club Chelsea have been in hot pursuit on the 21-year-old German attacking midfielder and they are keen on getting their man in preparation for next season.

The Blues will be able to attract Havertz with playing in the UEFA Champions League next season and also a key figure in their team.

Rudi Völler said Havertz will play in the Europa League second leg against Scottish club Rangers on August 6.

The 60-year-old Sporting director also confirmed that the club haven’t received any concrete offer for Kai Havertz, The German club expect any club who want Havertz to pay the asking price which is £90 million, Völler also said the club won’t be giving discount following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kai Havertz have been so impressive and have been one of the best German young talent in the 2019/2020 Bundesliga season most especially when the league return during the Covid 19 pandemic, which makes him the most sort after German player in Europe.
