After a scintillating season, Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Glasgow Rangers of Scotland midfielder Joe Aribo on Friday night received double award at the in award night.

Aribo started his career at Staines Town in the Isthmian League Premier Division, winning the club’s academy player of the year award in April 2014.

Aribo joined Charlton Athletic in September 2015 following a successful trial, and signed a one-year contract in May 2016.

He made his first team debut as a 62nd-minute substitute for Andrew Crofts in a 2–0 defeat to Crawley Town in an EFL Trophy group stage match at The Valley in October 2016.

The 24 years old midfield star was voted young player of the year after playing in various position for the club.

It was a superb debut campaign for Aribo he netted nine goals in 48 appearances, with one of those goals also winning him the Goal of the Season prize.

His strike on that unforgettable evening against Braga was incredible, and helped the Gers on their way to the Last 16 of the competition.

Aribo Scottish Premiership club Rangers and he made his competitive debut for the club on 9 July 2019 in a 4–0 win over St Joseph’s of Gibraltar in the Europa League.

He made his debut for Nigeria in an international friendly match against Ukraine and was also on target in the game.
