After a long wait, Italia Serie A side Napoli has announced the capture of Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, OJB Sport reports.
Osimhen had been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League and it reportedly took a lot of convincing for the youngster to accept Napoli’s offer.

Raised in the youth clubs of the “Strickers Academy” in Lagos, he became a professional when he moved to Wolfsburg when he was an adult. In Germany he played in the 2017/18 season and then spent the following year at Charleroi. He plays 36 games in the Belgian team, scoring 20 seasonal goals.
The 21-year-old managed 13 league goals for Lille this season before the French campaign was ended early owing to the Coronavirus pandemic.
With the Under 17 he conquered the World Cup in 2015 in which Osimhen distinguished himself by graduating top scorer with 10 goals.
In the senior national team he made his debut in June 2017 and with Nigeria so far he has 10 appearances and 4 goals.
Osimhen becomes the most expensive transfer deal of the summer so far.
