Arsenal hierarchy is set to reward skipper Aubameyang with a new deal worth more than £300,000 a week including bonuses after FA Cup victory.
The 31 years old Gabon International was set to enter the final 12 months of his contract at the North London club this summer. Extension talks between his representatives and the club which has lingered for the past few months has failed to yield a positive result but the club is set to finally meet his demands.
According to reports from @TheTimes the club is set to offer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a new Three years deal that is worth more than £300,000 a week including bonuses. The same source also reports that the club are willing to convince the skipper of the club’s ambition of competing in the European elite competitions soon by making quality additions to the squad this summer. And the club boss Mikel Arteta has identified Philippe Coutinho, Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey and Chelsea winger Willian as the players to help transform his side as they look to build on their FA Cup triumph.
Renewing Aubameyang’s contract is one of the priority of the club this summer as he has been a key man for the club since he joined the club from Borussia Dortmund two seasons and one half ago. He missed out on English Premier league golden boot award last season by a single goal having finished the campaign on 22 league goals, one goal behind eventual winner Jamie Vardy who scored 23 goals in the league.
