Following the outstanding performance of Southampton, head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl has been awarded the Premier League Manager of the Month for July, OJB Sport reports.

Hasenhüttl masterminded a near-flawless month as Saints brought their Premier League season to a close, including wins over Manchester City, AFC Bournemouth and Sheffield United on the final day.

The Austria gaffer moved to Saint Mary in January 2019 from the German Bundesliga side Eintract Franfurt and has since stamped his authority in the premier league.

One of Hassenhuttl outstanding last season was the way he turned around the fortune of the club after suffering a heavy defeat of 9-0 to Leicester City at the King Power stadium.

The Southampton manager claims the prize after overseeing an unbeaten month, which began with a 1-0 victory over second-placed Manchester City.

The 52-year-old saw off challenges from fellow nominees Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, David Moyes and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The result of the public vote was combined with the choices of a panel of football experts to decide the winner.
