Chelsea and England defender Fikayo Tomori is on the radar of Rennes FC of France.
The 22-year-old broke into the Blues’ first team this season and has been part of Frank Lampard’s squad throughout the campaign.
After an encouraging start, the centre-back saw his game time drop dramatically at the turn of the year, with three appearances in 2020, two FA games and one League game. A brief time at the sideline due to a hamstring injury.
With Chelsea looking to reinforce its squad, players like Jorginho, Ngolo Kante and Fikayo Tomori are out of favour, for that reason, Tomori may be heading to the French Ligue One side.
Rennes are willing to play their card to the fullest in landing the young defender. According to a French media outlet L’equipe, Initial contacts with the various parties have been made. Without the form (transfer or loan) being established.
Tomori will have the opportunity to have a feel of Champions League action if everything goes well with the Breton side.
