Representative of Manchester United attacker Tahith Chong confirmed that the Dutchman want to join the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
Chong representative Erkan Alkan told Blid “He wants to go to the Bundesliga and to Bremen. He will tell Manchester that”.
The 20-year-old Dutch attacker came on as a substitute for Brandon Williams for the remaining 22 minutes of the Europa League second leg round 16 match against the Austria club LASK on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.
He was impressive in the Europa League match playing as a left back, showing his pace and power on the left wing and also good link up play with Andreas Pereira.
With Manchester United moving close to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, it will be best for Chong to go out on loan to get more playing time.
The Bundesliga club don’t have the funds to sign the Dutchman permanently but want to bring Chong to the club on a two-year loan deal.
According to DeichStube, negotiations are in the advanced stages after his entourage met with Werder sporting director Frank Baumann on Tuesday.
