The German Football League (DFL) has revealed the new Bundesliga fixture list of the 2020/2021 as the season kick off September 18.
Reigning champions Bayern Munich are expected to kick off the new season against Schalke 04 on Friday, 18 September at their home stadium[Allianz Arena].
However, the fixture date can only be altered if only Bayern Munich get to the final of UEFA Champions League which is August 23. That means the German Champions first league game will be moved to September 21, this will be due to the preparation time between the two competitions.
Should this happen, Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach will open the new Bundesliga season on 18 September instead.
Bayern Munich will be playing their closet rival Borussia Dortmund on November 7 2020, away at the signal idunna park and also at home March 6 2021.
The 2020/2021 season will features two news teams that got promoted from Bundesliga 2 to Bundesliga (VFb Stuttgart and Armina Bielefeld). Their goal will be to stay in the league at the end of the season.
