The Proprietor of Sajeh football club of Jos, Joshua Nanzwah Audu is calling on the General Manager of Nigeria Professional Football League side Plateau United Pius Henwan and the technical crew to look inward in the area of recruiting players for the country’s representative in the CAF Champions League.

Plateau United is one of the two teams in the NPFL that will represent Nigeria in the elite league of club football on the continent for the 2020/2021 season, as a result of that the team will be looking to bolster their squad by adding quality players that can enable them to challenge for the prestigious trophy that has eluded Nigeria for the past 16 years.

Audu feels his Plateau United doesn’t need to start combing the universe for players, everything they needed to succeed on the continent is in the capital state.

Speaking to OJBSPORTS Audu says there’s no need for United to look elsewhere because the players they need is already in Jos, and his academy is the best option for the former NPFL Champions.

If grassroots players are given the opportunity in the league, I am sure they will do great. My goal now is for my players to be found worthy in their specific skills and character if called upon.”

He further calls on the Plateau Football Association not to compromise on the execution of the right policies.
