The Chairman of Nigeria National League side Mighty Jets Football Club of Jos, Chief Alex Noel Wukari, on behalf of the President of the club, Alhaji Ismaila Mabo, the Board of Founders, the Board of Supporters, Members of Management team, Supporters Club, Officials and Players of the team, is wishing one of the greatest footballers in the club’s history, Salisu Nakande, a happy 52nd birthday.
In a press release by the club’s media officer Mbum Ferdinand, the Jos based team felicitates with their legend.
The club is very proud to be associated with him for all he was able to achieve for the club and also for Nigeria as an athlete.
The club is also very proud of the 1985 historic feat where Salisu Nakande won Africa’s first FIFA world title with the Nigeria national U16 team, the “Baby Eagles” beating West Germany on his 17th birthday at the Workers Stadium in Beijing, China.
It remains one of the most memorable moments for the Player as an individual and for the club as a unit.
The club wishes him good health, long life and prosperity as he marks this day.
May God almighty in his infinite mercies always provide for him and his household.
The club may also wish to state it will always be by him in thick and in thin no matter the circumstance.
