English League Champions Liverpool have made their official contact with Bayern Munich regarding the transfer of Thiago Alcantara, this is according to Blid.

With one year remaining on Alcantara contract with the Bundesliga Champions, The 29-year-old Spanish midfielder looks not to extend his stay with the club.

Bayern Munich Gaffer Hansi Flick said this month that he will allow Thiago leave if that’s what he wants, Thiago have been rumored to be in search for a new challenge.

Liverpool have sought a conversation with Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić with discussions expecting to advance this week.

‘The Reds’ are willing to offer a maximum of €30 million for the Spanish midfield maestro, but Bayern are holding out for a fee closer to €40 million, according to reports. 

Jürgen Klopp have been an admirer of the Spaniard and it seems he will be suitable for the Liverpool team.

The only thing that Liverpool might consider for not signing the Spaniard may be the rate he get injured.

Bayern Munich are preparing for their Champions League quarter final game against FC Barcelona which will be played on Friday.
