Arsenal has announced through its official website that head of football Raul Sanllehi will leave the club with immediate effect.

According to statement release on the club’s website on behalf of the club owner, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, Stan and Josh Kroenke it states “Raul has made a big contribution during his time with us and will always be part of the Arsenal family. We thank him for all his hard work and expertise and wish him every future success.

We have no doubt that Vinai is the right person to take the club forward. He has shown outstanding leadership during the current crisis and is held in high regard internally and externally. We know everyone will rally round him so we can move forward successfully.”

Raul Sanllehi who is a former director of football at FC Barcelona joined Arsenal last three seasons ago. He is well respected personality in European football because of his knowledge of the game.

It’s been reported from several source that the reason why Arsenal owner has decided to part ways with Raul Sanllehi is that they want to have only one voice at top of the management team to have clearer views of the club moving forward. The report also states that With Raul Sanllehi’s departure, all technical decisions will be taken by Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu Gasper while Vinai Venkatesham will remain the club’s Managing Director.
