The Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich out classed their opponent Barcelona by winning 8-2 to qualify to the semi finals of the Champions League.
Bayern Munich started with the same starting line up used they used to defeat Chelsea last week Saturday while Barcelona only made two changes to their team that played Napoli, with Sergio Bousquet and Arturo Vidal coming in to the starting line up.
The first blood was drawn from Bayern Munich with Thomas Muller scoring on the 4th minute with the assist coming from Robert Lewandowski, but Barcelona were able to equalize on the 7the minute with David Alaba scoring an own goal.
The Balvarian giant soon added the second goal which was from Ivan Perisic who smashed the ball with his left foot to get the lead.
Bayern Munich added two goals before the half time, with goals coming from Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry.
The Balvarians were impressive with their pressing game which was causing problems for Barcelona, Thiago was the architect of all Bayern Munich attack with the midfielder imposing himself on the field.
Barcelona soon pulled one back early in the second half in the 57the minute from Luis Suarez what turned Jerome Boateng before scoring with the assist coming from Jordi Alba.
The Balvarian added four goals before the 90th minute mark to book their place in the semi finals with goals coming from Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and two goals from Philippe Coutinho who came on as a substitute for Serge Gnabry.
Robert Lewandowski still remain this season Champions League highest goal scorer with 14 goals.
Bayern Munich will either face Manchester City or Lyon in the Semi final which will be played August 19.
The Balvarian will be looking to qualify for the Champions League Final and also with it for the sixth time.
