Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Nantes FC of France player Moses Simon, has recognised Brazilian and Paris St German centre back Thiago Silva as the most difficult opponent he has ever played against, OJB Sport reports.

Simon started his professional career with Slovakia side AS Trencin in 2014 and made his debut in a 1–1 draw against MFK Košice .

In January 2015, KAA Gent signed Simon on a three-year contract and he made his debut for Gent in a 3–1 win against Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz in a league game.

Simon was loaned out to Ligue 1 club FC Nantes by Spanish La Liga club UD Levante and at the end of the season, Nantes triggered the option to buy in Simon’s loan.

He signed a four-year contract with the club and since the commencement of the preseason Simon has been on top of his game.

“I take Cristiano Ronaldo as an example. He works so incredibly hard to get better every day, I have to do that too.

“It is a physical competition, while in Spain it was rather technical.

But both are great competitions. Although I did meet my strongest opponent ever here in the form of Thiago Silva.”

Simon scored Nine goals this season for Nantes and emerged club player of the year.
