Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick would like to keep Ivan Perisic beyond the end of his loan spell, according to Sport Blid.

The 31-year-old Croatian international is on loan from Inter Milan until the end of the Champions League tournament in Lisbon. He has started in two recent Champions League games scoring a goal each in both games.

Flick has publicly said he would like to have four wingers at his disposal in the 2020/2021 season, he currently has Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and new signing Leroy Sané.

Although Bayern’s option to buy Perisic for €20 million has expired, it doesn’t seem out of the question that he could stay.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge spoke about Perisic saying “I like the player very much. He’s very efficient, and his statistics are very good. Whenever he plays, he does something productive. Ivan may not always be spectacular, but he is very reliable,”

He also added “We want to continue playing the tournament in peace and quiet and then look into it again afterwards.”

Perisic has scored 8 goals and made 10 assists in 33 games for Bayern since coming to Allianz Arena from Inter Milan last summer.
