Portland Trail Blazers continues vintage form, as they beat Championship contender, Los Angeles Lakers, 100-93, in Orlando.
Lebron James scored a triple double 23 points 17 rebounds 16 assist, but Lakers had a terrible outing, from beyond the arc, scoring only 5 of 32, 3-pointer attempts, 16%. The blazers capitalized on this well, as Damian Lilliard scored a game-high 34 points, while CJ McCollum added 21 points, Carmelo Anthony and Jusuf Nurkic the only Blazers player to score a double double, as the latter added 16 points 15 rebounds, and Carmelo recording 11points 10 rebounds.
Anthony Davis on the defense had more blocks and steals for the lakers combined, and also scored the highest-points for Lakers in the affair, 28 points 11 rebounds.
Milwaukee Bucks 110 – 122 Orlando Magic ( 0-1 Series)
Milwaukee Bucks may have to fight hard to get past the first playoff rounds, as they were stunned by Orlando Magic, losing the first game of the series, 110-122 win, against the host city.
Giannis Antetokounmpo added 31 points 17 rebounds, coupled with an impressive double double from the Greek freak. Nikola Vucevic for the Magics scored a game-high 35 points well accompanied by 14 points rebounds, while fellow team mates, Terrence Ross registered 18 points, while Gary Clark and Markelle Fultz added 15 points a-piece.
George Hill for the Bucks pumped in 16 points.
Orlando Magic converted 18/19 free throws, 95% conversion, while Milwaukee Bucks were poor from the free throw spot, scoring just 18/28, 64%.
Houston Rockets 123 – 108 Oklahoma City Thunder (series 1-0)
James Harden led the Rockets pass, Oklahoma City Thunder 123-108, in one of the play-off seedings played at the early hours of today.
James Harden scored a game-high 37 points 11 rebounds, for the Rockets, as Jeff green added 22 points in absence of Russell Westbrook, who is still out injured.
Danilo Galinari pumped in a team-high 29 points, veteran Chris Paul scored a double double, 20 points 10 rebounds, followed by Steven Adams who also had a double double 17 points 12 rebounds.
Miami Heats 113 – 101 Indiana pacers (Series 1-0):
Jimmy Butler scored 28 points for the heats, as they fought hard to beat indiana Pacers 113-101 and take series lead to 1-0.
Goran Dragic added 24 points, Bam Adebayo registered 17 points 10 rebounds. For the pacers Malcolm Brogdon finished with a team-high 22 points, leveled with TJ Warren, who also scored 22 points.
