Borussia Dortmund new comer Jude Bellingham say he doesn’t want to be compared with England legends Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

The 17-year-old Englishman joined Dortmund last month from Birmingham city, he said he want to make a name for himself and isn’t interested in any comparison with any player.

Bellingham told Sportbuzzer “I’m the first Jude Bellingham, and I don’t want to be compared with Gerrard or Lampard. They were undoubtedly great players, but I have other qualities. I’m a different player and a different person,”

Bellingham also added “To be honest, I don’t feel any pressure. The pressure I put on myself is great than any price tag,”

“You have to be confident, especially when you join a new club. I want to keep learning here and reach a new level in all departments,”

“I’m hoping to play as many minutes as possible – even in the big games. I would like to make assists, score goals and put in good performances.”

Jude Bellingham was linked to Manchester United before joining the BVB club.

Dortmund bought Bellingham for €26.5 million from Birmingham city, but the young midfielder insists his hefty price tag will not weigh on his shoulders.
