Chelsea have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign the 20-year-old attacker Kai Havertz, this was reported by The Guardians Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea have been keen on signing Kai Havertz, even though Leverkusen slapped a huge priced tag on the young German to scare Chelsea way, the Blue’s have now match matched Havertz fee.
The English Premier League club submitted a new offer three days ago, which the German club accepted. according to Sport Blid, the Blues will pay an initial fee of €80 million for the German international with a further €20m in bonuses depending on the London club’s success.
Havertz to Chelsea will be officially announced in the coming days and it’s expected that the attacker won’t be a member of Bayer Leverkusen corona tests before training on Friday.
Sport Blid claims that Leverkusen will receive one half of the bonus which is €10 million if Chelsea achieve their minimum target of regularly qualifying for the Champions League and reaching the knockout stages for the next five years.
Also if The Blues win a title, such as a the Premier League, the FA Cup or the Champions League, before 2025, Leverkusen will reportedly receive a further €10 million.
Havertz, who is under contract until 2022, has made 150 appearances for Leverkusen with 46 goals and 31 assists to his name.
