Few hours after suffering a 1-0 loss to German Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich in the final of the UEFA champions league, riots erupted in Paris, capital of France, OJB Sport reports.

The Bavarian defeated French Ligue champion Paris St German 1-0 courtesy a goal from French born winger Kingsley Coman.

In Paris, riot broke out between groups of young people and the police on Sunday evening, immediately after the keenly contested encounter.

Already during the match which the two teams gave a good account of themselves, it was restless around the Parc des Princes stadium.

The police were forced to use tear gas against supporters who threw fireworks and firecrackers. Even afterwards it remained restless. Cops were pelted with bottles and fireworks.

On the Champs-Elysées, even cars were set on fire, windows were broken and shops were damaged. The Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin spoke of ‘intolerable excesses’.

About 43 people were arrested by the police around 2 a.m. for ‘violence and humiliation’.
