English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers are in advanced talks with Arsenal to sign Maitland-Niles.
Nuno Espirito’s side has been in discussion with Arsenal for their academy graduate over the past few weeks, and according to reports from @Skysports today talk are progressing well and it’s already in the final stage for a fee of around £20m.
Maitland-Niles is a very versatile player who is predominantly a central midfielder but can as well play in full back positions and as a winger. He is an English U21 International and was also among the England U17 team that won the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2017. The 22-year-old midfielder has made over 53 appearances for Arsenal first team and played the full 90 minutes in Arsenal’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Chelsea few weeks ago.
It is set to be a very busy summer at Arsenal as many of the first team players are going to shown the exit door to free up space for new arrivals at the North London club.
