Arsenal are in talks with the representatives of Bayern Munich’s midfielder Thiago Alcantra over a move to the Emirates this summer.

The 29-year-old midfield mastero has just one year remaining on his contract with Bayern Munich and has informed the club that he will not be signing an extension on his current deal. Thiago and his junior brother Rafinha came through the famous Barcelona’s La Masia academy before he joined the Bundesliga champions four seasons ago.

The European Champions (Bayern Munich) are demanding a fee of around £23m to part ways with the former Barca man but Arsenal are negotiating with both his representatives and Bayern Munich to lower their asking price according to reports from @MailSport. The gunners are in the market for a creative midfielder and the 29-year-old midfielder suit the criteria of the midfielder they are looking for.

Liverpool has also been reported to be interested in the acquisition of the Spanish International but are also unwilling to meet Bayern’s asking price of £23m.
