Mario Gotze is in negotiations over a move to AS Monaco, according to reports from France.

Earlier these month, Gotze turned down a move to play in America, he is keen to continue is football in Europe.

Götze is said to be the top target for AS Monaco new manager Niko Kovac, as the 28-year-old left Borussia Dortmund when his contract expired at the end of the 2019/20 season. 

According to Blid, Gotze want to stay in Europe, with clubs from France, Spain and Italy been interested in him.

Sevilla and Fiorentina have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the offensive midfielder.

Mario Götze spent three years in Bayern Munich before returning to Dortmund in 2016 for his second spell with the club.

He made 15 appearances in the 2019/2020 Bundesliga season for Dortmund scoring 3 goals.

Gotze have won five Bundesliga titles, four DFB Pokal titles together with both German clubs and World cup title in 2014.
