Schalke 04 are looking to bring back Arsenal left back Sead Kolasinac to the club, this is according to report from Sky Germany, which has been confirmed by Sport1 and WAZ

Arsenal appear keen to do a deal, given manager Mikel Arteta’s need to trim the inflated wage bill at the Emirates.

Kolasinac has been in and out of the Arsenal team since his arrival, and showed bursts of promise mixed with indifferent performances.

‘The Royal Blues’ are understood to have held initial talks with Kolasinac, who wants to return to Germany for personal reasons.

The only problem that may scare Schalke 04 from not getting Kolasinac will be his salary of €8 million per season.

Ahead of the 2020/21 Bundesliga season, Schalke 04 have introduced a salary cap of €2.5 million per season in a move to build a healthier financial future for the club.

A loan deal that would see the two clubs share the 27-year-old Bosnian salary will be considered, but reaching an agreement that would suit all parties could prove difficult.

Kolasinac joined ‘The Gunners’ in 2017 on a free transfer from Schalke 04, his contract is due to expire in 2022.

Kolasinac have made 77 appearances in the premership for Arsenal scoring two goals and racking 13 assist.
