Arsenal has rejected Wolverhampton Wanderers bid for midfielder Maitland-Niles because its below the club’s valuation of the player.

Maitland-Niles is set for a move away from his boyhood club (Arsenal) this summer. The versatile English born midfielder came through Arsenal’s Hale End academy before moving into the first team.

Niles reportedly asked for a move away from the Emirates stadium this summer as he wants to secure a regular playing spot preferably in midfield which Arsenal could not offer him at the moment.

The 22-year-old star has mostly been used in full back positions by Arsenal due to his versatility. He can play comfortably as a midfielder, winger and also full back positions which has made him a valuable asset to have in a team.

English Premier League side Wolverhampton submitted a bid of 15million pounds for the former U17 World Cup winner this week, but the Arsenal hierarchy immediately knocked back the offer as it is way short of their valuation of Maitland-Niles. According to reports from @Skysports the club will accept a bid in the region of 20-25million pounds for the player.

Wolverhampton is expected to come back to the negotiation table with an improved bid while newly promoted club Fulham and Leeds United has all shown interest in the midfielder.
