Kevin Volland is on the verge of joining Monaco from Bayer Leverkusen, according to Blid.

According to Bild, both parties are in advanced negotiations and are edging closer to an agreement that would see Monaco sign the 28-year-old for €25 million. 

The 28-year-old German attacker had just one-year remaining on his current deal and no extension on the horizon, Bayer will be forced to sell or risk losing Volland on a free transfer in 2021.

Meanwhlile, Kicker reported about Leverkusen wanting to bring 19-year-old Benoit Badiashile from Monaco.

According to reports from France, Monaco turned down an offer of €25 million from Manchester United for the highly-rated centre-back earlier this week. 

Ever since the ex Bayern Munich coach Niko Kovac became the coach of Monaco in July, the club have been linked to numerous players plying their trade in Bundesliga.

Kevin Volland joined Bayer Leverkusen from Hoffenhim for €18 million, he signed a five-year-deal with the club.

Since then, he has gone on to make 148 appearances for Leverkusen racking up 50 goals and 32 assists.
