Russian Premier league giant CSKA Moscow has announced the capture of Nigeria’s international Chidera Ejuke on a 4 year deal, OJB Sport reports.

Former Gombe United attacker signed a three-year contract with Eliteserien side Vålerenga in 2017 after leaving the shore of Nigeria.

In July 2019 he moved to The Netherlands to play for Heerenveen after scoring 13 goals in 59 for the Norwegian side.

Moscow based club announced his signing on Friday evening on 4 year contract.

Ejuke moved to the Abe Lenstra Stadium a year ago, where he grew into a vital player. “Chidera has met all our expectations,” says technical manager Gerry Hamstra.

“He has been able to develop further with us and has become even better. His transfer to CSKA Moscow says it all.

With the transfer fee – reportedly twelve million euros – Ejuke is the most expensive player in club history after Afonso Alves (seventeen million to Middlesbrough) and Miralem Sulejmani (sixteen million to Ajax).

Ejuke scored 10 goals in 22 matches for Heereveen and he will join Nigeria’s Super Eagles skipper Ahmed Musa as another Nigerian player that has played for CSKA Moscow.
