The General Manager of Plateau United football club of Jos Pius Henwan, says they are ready for the CAF Champions League.
The Lalong Boys will be competing in the money spining Champions League for the 2020/2021 season. Pius also exhudes that they can’t wait for the Nigeria Professional Football League to start when the Federal Government release the banned on sports activities in the country.
Speaking with OJB SPORTS in jos, Henwan says the team will do better in the forth coming elite league of club football on the continent. He promised to give all the support they need to succeed in the competition by increasing the players allowances and match bonuses.
“If you will recall that the team played there CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup home matches away from home the last time they featured in the competition but we hope to play here in jos this time around”, Pius said.
On the issue of homegrown players from the state, he said that they have to sit up and compete with others because only the best will represent the team.
Plateau United is among the four teams that will represent Nigeria on the continent come next season.
