Bayern Munich have held talks with the Serie A club Inter Milan on the possibility of signing Marcelo Brozović, but nothing is concrete yet, according to Sport1.
Thiago Alcantara and Javi Martinez have both asked to leave Bayern this summer with Alcantara keen on a move to England.
Marcelo Brozović is seen as a direct replacement for both player leaving Bayern, The 27-year-old Croatian international can play either as a defensive midfielder or a box-to-box midfielder.
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently said he had no comment when asked about the Croatian international by Italian media outlet Tuttosport.
Marcelo Brozović joined Inter Milan in January 26, 2015 from the Croatia club Dinamo Zagreb on a one and a half year loan deal with an option to buy.
After impressing on his loan spell, Inter decided to make his stay permanent with the club, The Italian club bought him for €5 million from Dinamo Zagreb in 2016.
He currently have one year remaining on his contract which will be expiring next summer.
Brozović have become a key player to his team that Inter might not be ready to loose him to any club.
The 27-year-old made 32 appearances for Inter Milan last season in the Serie A scoring 2 goals.
