There is a total agreement between Arsenal and Fiorentina for the transfer of Lucas Torreira to the viola.

The Uruguayan director born in 96 gave his availability to the Viola some time ago, but at the moment the obstacle in the negotiation is represented by Dani Ceballos, Spanish midfielder of Real Madrid, we explain why.

Arsenal cannot deprive themselves of their midfielder right now with the start of the Premier League at the gates. With Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi destined for the transfer market, the latter also injured, and with Mesut Ozil still in the pits, Arsenal’s midfield is decimated.

The deal to get the Gunners on loan Dani Ceballos is still to be finalized, with Real Madrid having not yet decided whether to really free the Spaniard.

So at the moment Arsenal coach Arteta is short of midfielders for his Premier League debut against Fulham scheduled for Saturday 12 September and cannot free Torreira towards Florence.

Fiorentina’s agreement with Torreira and Arsenal is done. Arsenal will receive 8 million for the onerous loan and 16 million for the mandatory redemption. Daniele Pradé has also reached an economic agreement with the director, who currently earns around 80,000 pounds a week, almost 4.2 million a year.

Fiorentina will offer a four-year agreement at 3.6 million a year plus various bonuses linked to results. This signing would make Torreira the highest paid player in the purple squad after Franck Ribery.

At the moment there is an agreement with both the player and the English club, but the real problem to be solved concerns the Arsenal midfield. If Arsenal can solve the midfield problem, there will be a domino effect with Torreira finally in purple.

Obviously if neither Ceballos nor other midfielders were to marry the Arsenal project, Torreira would remain in London. A question of substitutes. Fiorentina are waiting with the agreement in hand.
