Barcelona are in discussion with the agents of both Georgino Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay according to reports from @FabrizioRomano.

Barcelona new boss Koeman wants to reunite with both players at Camp Nou having worked with them in the Dutch national team. The club has already started negotiations with the representatives of both players over a move to Spain this summer.

Wijnaldum has just one year remaining on his contract with Liverpool having joined the club from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016 for a fee of about €27m. He has been a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s side since his move to Anfield and has made over 141 appearances for the Premier League Champions scoring 14 goals in the process.

The 29 year old midfielder is a very energetic player who suits perfectly to Klopp’s high pressing pattern of play. Talks over extension of his contract at Anfield has hit a stumbling wall over the past months as he sees an opportunity to play for Barcelona too good to turn down.

Memphis Depay on the other hand has also been a surprise target for the La Liga giants. The 26-year-old attacker has been a much more improved and matured player since his move to Olympic Lyon in 2017 after his disappointing spell in England with Manchester United between 2015 and 2017.

He has made over 103 appearances for the French club and scoring 46 goals in the process averaging more than a goal in every two games. The former Manchester United man also captained Lyon in their surprise Champions league quater final defeat of Manchester City last season.

Barça believe a fee of around €50-55m will be enough to acquire both players and are expected to submit official bids to Liverpool and Olympique Lyon in next few days.
